The Emerald Isle is home to some of the largest salmon runs in the world and is consistently ranked as one of the top three fishing ports in the U.S. Despite our fishing acclaim, we have very little fishing pressure, unlike many lodges
where combat fishing is the norm. On a typical day at Kodiak Lodge you may see 4 or 5 other boats when fishing the salt and just a few other groups when fishing the rivers. Often times we will see more Kodiak Brown Bears than people, yet our lodge is in a village with a modern marina, electricity, and phone and internet service.
Kodiak Island enjoys some of the best fishing in Alaska and therefore some of the most generous limits. Our limits, per license, per day, include 5 silver salmon, 2 king salmon, 5 rockfish and 2 halibut with no size restrictions!
Kodiak Lodge is owned by the Maschmedt family which has been in the lodge business for nearly 40 years. Our expert guides have fished these waters for ten years and know what it takes to make our clients visit a success. We understand that comfort is a big part of any vacation, so we take special care to provide upscale accommodations, quality equipment and outstanding meals.
